We are based in our Wokingham office with the option to work in hub locations across London. We work on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days in the office to support knowledge sharing and collaboration, with the freedom to work from home on the other days.

The Individual we are looking for

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about sustainability with some experience of working within the industry, either in-house sustainability, consultancy services, or within an NGO that operates across the environmental and social spectrum. The preferred candidate will have experience in building stakeholder relationships and working on the delivery of sustainability programmes. They will have a broad understanding of measuring and managing environmental and social impacts supported by deeper knowledge of one or more areas such as Net Zero, supply chain sustainability, social impact or ESG reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong project management skills to take ownership of defined client projects, ensuring control of scope, timelines, risks, and delivery outcomes.
  • Design or refine data collection methods and frameworks to ensure robust analysis and clear insights, as well as analysis of ESG data to understand a client’s impacts and prepare recommendations for improvement
  • Produce high-quality, structured client reports and presentations requiring minimal revision.
  • Brief and support junior team members in delivering analysis or research tasks.
  • Develop emissions reductions strategies, including science-based targets and net-zero roadmaps
  • Provide the primary day to day contact point for clients, nurturing client relationships and ensuring excellent communication that builds trust.
  • Contribute content to website, newsletter and blogs
  • Identify opportunities for new or add-on work with existing clients and share with Project Managers/Directors

Required skills

The candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working on sustainability projects as a consultant or as an in-house sustainability professional
  • A working knowledge of GHG accounting and Net Zero principles, the UN SDGs and popular ESG reporting frameworks, including CDP, TCFD, CSRD and ISSB
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver them to time and budget
  • The ability to interpret insights from data in order to identify risks and opportunities
  • Excellent analytical skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to communicate complex technical information in a succinct and accessible way
  • The confidence to build and manage client relationships
  • Excellent English oral and written skills; strong delivery of presentations and written reports
  • Organised, with great attention to detail, and able to manage multiple projects or tasks under time pressure
  • Proactive attitude and a desire for continuous learning
  • The successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK

Package

  • Salary: £32,000 – £48,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
  • 30 days annual leave including public or bank holiday plus Christmas shutdown (typically 3 days)
